Ok, so, my first WordPress plugin. Wheee!

I have had the smart comments plugin by Patrick since the beginning, but it didn’t work for my linklog. So, I opened it, copied a function, renamed it, asked Patrick’s permission, and am rereleasing it.
The added feature is that it works with Linklogs.
Go ahead and download the file. Instructions can be found in the readme file bundled alongwith.
If you have any trouble, comment here or at Patrick’s place.

    Call me ignorant, but what does this plugin do? I am a WP user but don't seem to understand the functionality of this plugin.

    Hey there Poonam,
    Well, thanks for the compliments.

    What this plugin does is simple. There may be times when you don't want comments to be enabled. Even when you have comments disabled, the link to comments page remain. This plugin removes that link. As an added stuff, it works with Matt's Asides.

    What a great idea! Thank you.

    It works very well for the main page. I have a suggestion: it would be great to get rid of the "Comments are closed" text on the page for the individual posts.

    Thanks dm87. As for the text "Comments are closed", it isn't part of the plugin, and comes with the default WordPress comments.php.

    Works like a charm! Most of my posts have comments disabled, and I had given up on comments entirely because they cluttered up my index page. But now I have the perfect solution!
